Nightmare /horror film
The film was directed by Imran Ismail and filmed by me. The actors were played by Dan Woollam and Orson. The film took 2 weeks to take and was edited by Imran and I, over a couple of days. We had a antagonist who was played by Woolam, he was the killer in our film. Orson was the victim. We had many reshoots due mainly because we were all new to the process and the ideas we had didn’t easily translate into the film itself. The acting was poor, producing more laughter than anything else. We struggled with the poor lighting at first, however, we managed to peace together the film after several editing fails. Under guidance from our Media teacher, Mr.Armstrong, he helped us to develop the concept and our thinking of how to take footage and review before moving on to the next scene.
The story begins with Orson the victim, coming back from playing golf going to his room where he begins to clean his golf clubs before preparing himself for bed. After visiting the loo where he washes his face and turns off the lights, he gets into bed and falls asleep. He tosses and turns in his sleep, he is dreaming. The camera then cuts to a figure walking towards the camera in a dimly lit corridor heading towards the victim’s room. the camera then cuts too black and opens up on Orson being chased by the antagonist back down the corridor at a sprint. The camera shows the victim waking up and realising it was a dream, before he sees that his golf club was now in the middle of the room, the camera fades to black.
